What ould i tell someone writing their 1st paper

I will first tell them to. Then decide what type of paper they want to write. Then brainstorm and freewrite and give theirself some ideas about what they want to write. Search from articles to go with their title their writing about. Then come up with a good thesis statement. then compose their paper, come up with a good introduction, get three good supporting paragraphs, the conclusion and then put their references last.
